Why are my passwords moving to LastPass?

Plus, you'll have access to all your passwords and items no matter where you are, from any device, with simple autofilling of passwords for simple, hassle-free logins.

How will I access my passwords using LastPass?

Create an account with LastPass, including a master password. You'll use that master password to access everything in your LastPass account, which you log into on any browser, laptop, and mobile device.

What will happen to all the passwords I’ve stored with Webroot?

Until now, Webroot has been using LastPass to power Webroot's password manager in the background. By moving to the LastPass user interface, you'll be able to leverage everything that LastPass has to offer, including unlimited password sharing, advanced multi-factor authentication options, and access to your passwords on any browser and device. This means that all of the passwords previously stored in your Webroot account will be automatically moved to your new LastPass Premium account. This will happen after you log in with your Webroot username and password, and then create your LastPass account. After that, when you log in for the first time, you will see all of your passwords in your LastPass vault.

How do I know my passwords are safe with LastPass?

As a password manager, our first priority is safeguarding your data. We've built LastPass with strong, local-only encryption so we never have the key to your account. With AES-256 bit encryption with PBKDF2 SHA-256 and salted hashes to ensure complete security in the cloud. We also recommend that you protect your LastPass account with multi-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security.
